9/11 Moving Flag Tribute planned in Harrison

The 9/11 Moving Flag Tribute will be Sunday on Broadview Blvd. in Natrona Heights, Harrison.

Walkers and runners of all ages will carry American flags from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the sidewalks from Lamparski Orthodontics to Morgan Street and back. Volunteers are welcome.

Concert to raise money for NK Memorial Park

New Ken/Arnold Social in the Park will host a band blast benefit concert Sunday to help raise funds for renovations and repairs to Memorial Park.

The Band Blast will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Park, New Kensington, rain or shine. Admission is $5. It will feature festival seating; bring lawn chairs and blankets. Gates open at 11:30 a.m.

Bands scheduled to appear on the main stage include A New Day Sunrise, We’re Almost Home, Johnson’s Crossing, the Rust Project, Low Life Drifters, Heidi and the Hellcats, Chip & Charge Ups, Curtis and the Shakerz, Cosmic Attack, Big House Pete and Jimmy Mac & the Attack.

Harrisville Community Band to play free concert Sunday

Concordia at Cabot Haven Apartments, Winfield, will host a free concert by the Harrisville Community Band at 4 p.m. Sunday on the Haven II patio, 148 Marwood Road, entrance 5.
